ALL SORTS OF HISTORY......The 362 games a LFFO field has endured were witness to many different ideas including the live entertainment at the 2007 Championship Game.....many ideas like these were inspired by different players and fans from throughout the league. What will we see this year?
Waiver and Player Contract added December 27, 2008 The 2009 MAYhem Waiver and 2009 Season Player Contract have been added to the website as .pdf documents. Returning Registration December 22, 2008 Teams wishing to play in the 2009 season may now register by paying $650 and submitting 12 signed player contracts to the LFFO. Player Card fees will be dealt with a different time. During this time, (through 1/31/09), of the 12 team members, 10 must be returning players in good standing with the league. Potential future team captains are encouraged to keep the LFFO updated on their status.
Gettin' to Florida via Bratwurst December 1, 2008 The Sheboygan boys are headin' down to Florida to play in a football tournament later this winter. They are having a brat fry to help raise the funds...it'll be held this Saturday, December 6th, at Vreeke's Bar in Sheboygan. Good luck gentlemen! LFFO Investors meet Saturday 11/29 November 26, 2008 The potential LFFO investors will be meeting 11/29 at 1pm at 1025 Broadway St. in Sheboygan Falls. We should have a very good idea of what 2009 will look like after that. Stay posted. The future of football on Saturdays November 14, 2008 The future of football on Saturdays will be discussed on Saturday, November 15th @ 3pm (1025 Broadway St. in Sheb Falls). There are many issues that need to be addressed including the acutal purchase of the league & league assets, what steps were taken to make the league what it is now, and what steps will be taken to progress the league forward. This could be a defining moment for the LFFO and be a time where a significant step is taken to improve the league. Awards Updated November 12, 2008 All the awards that were given out on Saturday (the "All-LFFO History" button above) were added to the LFFO history books. Also, stats for the Championship Game were tabulated and posted to the website ("2008 Statistics" button). Bust Up on Saturday! November 6, 2008 I am hoping that players and fans are planning on attending the 2008 Bust Up Party/Awards Banquet this coming Saturday. Doors at the Windjammer will open at 5:30pm with beer tapped...the awards program will begin at roughly 6:15pm(ish). Cost will be $15 per person and will include all you can consume beer, soda, pizza, and cake. We have a unique bond amongst the players in this league and an event honoring the best(s) of the past year is only appropriate. I hope to see you all there. The votes are in! November 4, 2008 We have collected and tabulated the final vote for the 2008 All-LFFO team. We've seen the most diverse collection of votes in LFFO history.
